Yew Tree Alpacas are a herd of 47 alpacas based in Anstey near Buntingford in rural East Hertfordshire.
We started our alpaca journey in 2009 with 4 breeding females - we had planned to keep alpacas as a hobby breeding a few cria each year for selling. However things have expanded a little!
Our breeding herd has a focus on fleece quality and temperament, using our own Yew Tree studs for breeding. Our alpaca walking and alpaca retail are equally important sides of our business
The retail part of the business focusses on selling all things alpaca- our own yarns, knitting kits and hand knitted accessories aswell as the super warm UK produced alpaca socks. An alpaca gift range UK sourced is also an important part of the range.
Aswell as alpaca walking and adventures we are BAS affiliated trainers and hold workshops in Spring each year. Our next husbandry workshop is April 26th 2025 designed particularly for those thinking of alpacas or novice/new owners.
