Southern Alpacas Stud is one of the most experienced breeders in New Zealand, having been in the alpaca business since 1989. Our herd of top quality, award-winning, huacaya represents the top bloodlines in the world, with our importations from Australia and USA.
We can assist you to get started in alpacas, or to improve and grow your herd, through our alpacas for sale and our stable of a dozen studs.
We offer access to top genetics from two continents, expert and knowledgeable support, and a free phone hotline for assistance and advice.
We buy back fibre and working with a yarn manufacturer we produce fine yarns for sale in New Zealand and in USA, UK, and Japan.
We have our own isolation facility and regularly export alpacas (and now llamas) all around the world. We are an experienced alpaca importer and exporter.
We also have an alpaca farm in Villereal, France and can source NZ (and Australian) alpacas for the European market.
We welcome your contact about alpacas in New Zealand or indeed about alpacas for elsewhere in the world.
