Wellington showed for the first time @ the NC show - he took the Blue Ribbon. This guy is really cool - Amazing fleece.
True story: Dams were in a pasture several fields from the barn. At night we bring all the alpacas back to the barns. This was done 9/8/14 as it is done every day.
September 9, 2014 one of the farm hands was walking up over the hillside and noticed something moving behind a shelter - Yes - it was Wellington! When the dams were called back to the barn - he must have been napping! Strong little guy to survive out there on his own. Boy, was his Momma excited when we took him to the barn! From that day forward, he has always been one of our favorite guys.
Wellington's sire is A.L.Paca's Helix Galaxy the highest priced youngest male in North America. Helix's fleece is the most gorgeous fleece you will ever lay hands on. Every Helix offspring has quickly sold.
This guy is over-the-top with density, structure,fineness and long staple length!
