It rained, it was cold, it was windy and the exhibitors enjoyed the interesting phenomena of straw storms as the wind whipped it up and sent it flying through the big shed towards the show ring.

The BAS Spring Show organised by the South West Alpaca Group at the Bristol Sales Centre on the weekend of February 29th and 30th was truly English with the weather making an abrupt about turn on the Sunday when it was calm and sunny.

More than two hundred alpacas were entered for the show classes judged by Nick Harrington Smith and the British trained Italian judge Gaia Dakalo. The judging extended over two days with a Sales Day on the Sunday as well.
